I truly admire Dua Lipa's commitment to nail art while she's on tour. The folks in the front row of her concerts might get a momentary glimpse at whatever pattern she may be wearing that week, and even the sharpest jumbotron shot probably can't convey the intricate details that her nail artists paint on, so you just know she does it because she loves to see it.
And because we love to see it, we're thankful that Lipa often shares Instagram carousels that give us a glance at the manicure masterpieces she's been wearing while she's performing all over the world. And most recently, she wore a simple yet super-precise design I'm already planning for my next gel manicure.
“Toronto has been so sweeeet,” Lipa posted with a series of photos and videos, the third slide being a close-up of not-particularly-long oval nails with the sheerest of sheer pink bases decorated in a black geometric starburst pattern that looks straight out of a mid-century modern decor style.

“Dua sent me an inspiration photo with stars, and what I love most about this design is the fact that it’s modern and classy, but still reminiscent of disco stars, which ties into both of her recent albums very well,” Toronto-based nail artist Anna Hoang tells Allure.
Want to try to do it yourself? Here's Hoang's technique: “We used a black liner polish and a dotting tool to place the center of the stars, and a fine line brush to drag the edges out and connect them.” But if you're anything like me, you're taking this straight to a pro.

Lipa heads to Chicago next, and we'll just have to wait and hopefully see what she decides to do with her frequently flipped nails. (Hint, hint: We love those close-ups!)
